Wellbeing studio · est. Margate
The Marsden Rooms is a small wellbeing practice for the over-stretched nervous system. We help you settle the body, soften old patterns, and carry a quieter kind of confidence into ordinary life.
Somatic regulation, reparenting work and accessible support - one nervous system at a time.
The Margate rooms
Who we are
We started The Marsden Rooms because so much wellbeing advice skips the first step - helping the body feel safe enough to change.
Founded by therapist Della Marsden, the practice brings together somatic regulation, inner-child and reparenting work, and genuinely accessible support. No jargon, no rush. We meet you where your nervous system actually is, and build from there - through one-to-one sessions, small group rooms, and training for other practitioners.
What we offer
Everything here is built around regulation first. Choose the room that fits where you are - you can always move between them.
Private, trauma-informed sessions that settle the nervous system before we touch anything tender. Slow, paced, yours.
Small, steady circles where the work happens alongside others. Belonging is part of the medicine.
Hands-on courses for therapists, coaches and care workers who want to add somatic, accessible practice to their toolkit.
How the work moves
No leap from overwhelmed to healed. Four steady stages, repeated as often as your system needs.
Grounding, breath and sleep first. We bring the body to a calmer baseline before anything deeper.
We map the patterns - the people-pleasing, the bracing, the old guilt - without judgement.
Gentle inner-child and boundary work that updates how the past lands on the present.
Small, repeatable rituals that turn a session into a steadier ordinary week.
Why people stay
In their words
I'd tried everything that lived in my head. This was the first place that started with my body - and it finally stuck.
As a wheelchair user I'd been turned away by 'inclusive' studios before. Here, access wasn't an afterthought. It was the whole ethos.
The practitioner training changed how I work with every client. Della teaches the why, not just the technique.
From the notebook
A few longer pieces from the practice - on healing, access, and feeling at home in your own skin.
A practical, body-first walkthrough - from calming the nervous system to reparenting, creative work and daily integration.

Trusted resources
We don't pretend to be the whole picture. These are organisations and teachers whose work we trust and link to often.
A gentle first step
First sessions are unhurried and pressure-free - a chance to feel the room, ask anything, and see whether we're the right fit. No commitment beyond showing up.
